WHAT IS THE POISON PATH?

Historically, the words witchcraft and poison were synonymous and sometimes even used interchangeably; not because those labeled as witches were all poisoners, but because the knowledge and use of plants to heal or harm, especially when wielded by women, was deemed to be dangerous and a pathway to the "occult".

There is, of course, a formal Poison Path one can practice, which follows the ancient tradition of consuming poisons and toxins to induce visions in order to gain insight into the larger forces of chaos, death, and rebirth (for legal reasons, we do not advise this). But, whether it be knowledge of plants, the self, the future, or the greater forces in the universe and how to wield them; at its core, witchcraft is, and always has been, the pursuit of knowledge.

Our mission at The Poison Path is to aid in that pursuit. Whether you follow the formal Poison Path or your practice is a bit more casual; each item we make is hand-crafted with the intent to help you on your own path to knowledge and self-actualization.
