When the harvest has ended and the veil grows thinner, death creeps across the land and the Season of the Witch is finally upon us. On All Hallows Eve, we remember those who have passed, we embrace the magic of the night, and we prepare for death and darkness to consume the world of the living.

Our popular Samhain Ritual Candle is back with a dark new look and bewitching new scent inspired by the Goddess of Witchcraft herself, Hecate. Season of the Witch is a haunting blend of bonfire smoke, spiced pumpkin, dark woods, resins, and forgotten rituals of old.

Add on a crossroads key for creating your own spiritual nexus or a carved obsidian moon for psychic protection when the veil is at its thinnest.

Our spell candles are back in stock with a whole new look!

Have a favorite candle, but crystaled out? Spell candles are now available without crystal decorations. Plain spell candles have the same magical blend of herbs and florals without added shimmer and crystals.

Herbs and Flowers

Rosemary, Rose Petals, Chrysanthemum, Calendula, Mugwort, and Crossroads Dirt,: protection, warding, ancestral magic, divination, remembrance, veil thinning, and psychic abilities.

Crystals

Labradorite, Amethyst, and Obsidian: psychic abilities, protection, grounding, divination, transformation, and veil thinning.

The Ritual

Create a liminal space for your ritual by creating a crossroad within a sacred circle. Place the ritual candle at the center, and a representation of the four elements at four points around the circle. You can choose to create a small altar of remembrance for those who have passed, or you can simply leave a small offering of bread and wine for the dead. You may also wish to bring a bowl of water for scrying or your preferred tools for divination.

Cast your protections and light the ritual candle. Give thanks to Hecate, the Goddess of Witchcraft, (or the entity/deity you most deeply connect with) and ask her to open the way for you. Engage in the ritual work most meaningful to you but take time on this night to do shadow work, commune with death, embrace it, and learn from it. Death is inevitable, but not the end. The nights will grow darker, and the world will die, but in the Spring, new life will bloom again.

When your ritual is complete, close your circle and blow out your candle. You may choose to relight your candle outside of the circle for protection during Samhain Eve or use it any time you wish to engage in similar ritual work.

How To Use

We recommend burning your candle for at least two hours on the first use. When burning for the first time, allow the wax to melt to the edge of the glass. Trim the candle wick before each use to approximately 1/4" (5mm). We recommend burning candles for approximately 4 hours at a time. Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of drafts, fabric, pets, or small children. Candle vessel will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling. For a clean burn, remove crystal decorations prior to lighting.

Once you've completely burned your candle and allowed it to cool, you can remove and clean the key and crystal moon and use then as an altar decoration or as tools for divination or crossroads rituals.
